About this tour

See Rome at your own pace on a private day tour designed to make the city’s most memorable sights easy to enjoy. A professional English-speaking driver picks you up from your accommodation at 9:00 AM and takes you through a landscape of postcard-worthy squares, elaborate fountains, and imposing ancient monuments. Travel in a deluxe, air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz with private transportation, bottled water, fuel, and parking included.

The experience also features a visit underground beneath one of Rome’s distinctive churches, where you can explore an opulent Roman noble residence dating to the 3rd century AD. With a driver rather than a guided itinerary, you can enjoy the day without being tied to advance admission tickets or lengthy security lines. Admission fees and entry tickets are not included, so plan for those separately. Your day ends with a return to your hotel at approximately 5:00 PM.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 48% in Rome means it ranks in the top 48% of tours in Rome by this score.
