Explore Rome’s highlights and hidden corners on a private walking tour customized to your interests with a local guide.

About this tour

See Rome through a local’s eyes on a private walking tour shaped around your interests. Your guide can lead you to well-known sights and tucked-away corners, sharing perspectives on the city and Italian culture along the way.

Plan the route together before the tour or discuss what you would like to see when you meet. The listed sights are only examples; your guide can suggest alternatives that better match your preferences. Walking lets you take in many places in a short time, while a private, customizable itinerary keeps the experience personal. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included.

This experience is led by a local person or expat, rather than a guide focused on detailed historical commentary. Choose this Rome Private Walking Tour with a Local Guide for a flexible introduction to the city, and make the most of your time exploring Rome at your own pace.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
