Sketch Rome’s monuments on a relaxed, three-hour city-center walk with a guide, art materials, local stories, and a treat.

About this tour

See Rome’s city center through an artist’s eyes on a relaxed sketching walk. At each stop, take time to draw or paint the monuments that catch your attention, with a guide on hand to help you capture the scene on paper.

As you sketch, hear the history and anecdotes behind the places around you. Drawing materials are provided, and each participant can enjoy an ice cream or coffee, including cappuccino, along the way. The experience is especially recommended for children, but older kids and adults can enjoy the creative pace too.

Meet at the obelisk and spend three hours discovering Rome through observation, stories, and art. Join this Rome Sketching Tour for a memorable way to explore the city center and bring home impressions you’ve made yourself.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 40% in Rome means it ranks in the top 40% of tours in Rome by this score.
