Explore Hadrian’s Villa, Villa d’Este, and Tivoli’s waterfall on a private day trip from Rome, with transport and Wi-Fi included.

About this tour

Trade Rome’s busy streets for the ancient ruins, garden fountains, and waterfall views of nearby Tivoli on a private day trip. Your Rome Tivoli UNESCO Villas Day Trip begins with a drive of about 50 minutes to Villa Adriana, where you’ll have around three hours to explore Hadrian’s expansive Roman retreat. Then continue to Tivoli’s downtown, about 15 minutes away, with time to take a lunch break before visiting Villa d’Este. Its renowned fountains and gardens reward a leisurely visit of roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. The day also includes a stop to admire Tivoli’s Grande Cascata.

Private transportation makes it easy to visit both UNESCO-listed sites in one outing, with Wi-Fi on board and water, Coca-Cola, and chocolate provided. Meet at Cinecittà Metro Station; optional hotel pickup and drop-off may be possible for an extra fee, subject to confirmation. Admission to both villas is not included, so plan for those costs separately. How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 106 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.2. Top 3% in Rome means it ranks in the top 3% of tours in Rome by this score.
