Explore Trastevere with a private guide, then choose the 4-hour option to add Vatican City and St. Peter’s Square to your Rome walk.

About this tour

Discover Trastevere on a private walk through one of Rome’s most characterful neighborhoods, where layered Roman and Jewish history meets lively local streets. With a licensed guide, explore the area’s landmarks and hear the stories behind them as you make your way to the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere and the panoramic viewpoint at Belvedere del Gianicolo.

Choose the 2-hour option for a focused Trastevere visit, or extend your outing to 4 hours to include Vatican City and St. Peter’s Square. The exact number of attractions depends on the option selected, so check its details before booking. Along the way, your guide can also share recommendations for local restaurants, cafes, and shops. The tour is private, and the guide speaks your chosen language. Entry to the basilica may be limited during Masses or scheduled events; if you cannot go inside, your guide will explain its history from outside.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
