Rome Trastevere Walking Tour of Hidden Gems and Undergrounds 2 hr

Discover a quieter side of Rome on a small-group walk through Trastevere, where familiar lanes give way to hidden underground spaces and ancient church interiors. With no more than 10 participants, this 120-minute tour offers room to take in the neighborhood’s atmosphere and hear your guide through a sterilized headset.

Explore underground sights beneath two churches and encounter ancient frescoes along the way. The morning option includes the Cavallini frescoes; the afternoon option does not. If parts of the basilicas are closed, your guide will point out other monuments instead, while the tour keeps its scheduled duration. Expect a moderate amount of walking, and wear comfortable shoes. For church visits, knees and shoulders must be covered; the underground portions may not suit travelers with claustrophobia.

Meet by the statue at Piazza Belli, marked by a yellow TOURIKS label, five minutes before departure. Choose this Rome Trastevere walking tour to see a more hidden side of the city, from atmospheric underground spaces to historic church details.
