Create a colorful mosaic with Gaudí’s trencadís technique in Trastevere, then take your finished, carefully packaged artwork home.

About this tour

Bring color and texture together in a hands-on Rome Trencadís Mosaic Workshop inspired by Gaudí’s distinctive technique. Over three hours, discover how small pieces of tile can become a decorative work of art, with guidance as you plan your composition and learn to use the tools.

Work with colored tiles and the equipment needed to cut, shape, and set your design. A coffee or tea break with pastries offers a pause before you finish your piece. At the end, your artwork is packaged and protected so you can take it home with you. You’ll leave with a new appreciation for the mosaics found on walls, benches, and garden sculptures, from Italy’s Tarot Garden to Barcelona’s Parc Güell.

The workshop meets on quiet Via Corsini in Trastevere, close to Rome’s Botanical Garden. Join this Rome Trencadís Mosaic Workshop to make something personal and experience the craft one colorful piece at a time.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
