Enter the Trevi Fountain basin, learn the coin-toss tradition with an audio guide, and take home a gold-plated Roman coin souvenir.

About this tour

Take part in one of Rome’s best-known traditions with access to the basin of the Trevi Fountain. Meet your host at Via della Stamperia 6, where staff wearing a red Ferrari baseball cap will welcome you and provide the official prepaid ticket. The €2 municipal entrance fee is included.

Once inside the basin area, use your personalized audio guide to learn about the fountain and the meaning behind its famous coin ritual. You’ll receive two coins: one to toss into the water and a gold-plated Roman coin to keep as a souvenir. Follow the tradition by throwing the coin with your right hand over your left shoulder and making a wish to return to Rome. This 60-minute experience offers a memorable way to connect with the Trevi Fountain beyond the usual view from the square. Please collect your ticket from the meeting-point staff rather than going to the fountain ticket office. Choose this Trevi Fountain basin access experience for a closer look at the landmark and its enduring ritual.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
