Learn watercolor techniques with a local artist in Rome and take home a finished painting inspired by the city.

About this tour

See Rome through an artist’s eyes in a relaxed watercolor workshop led by a local artist. Over 120 minutes, learn practical techniques and explore the city’s colors and shapes as inspiration for your own painting. The class may take place outdoors, where you can capture the light on ancient stone, or in an atmospheric studio.

All watercolor materials are provided, along with a blanket for sitting and painting. Follow step-by-step guidance as you work, then take your finished artwork home as a personal reminder of your time in the city. This Rome Watercolor Painting Class welcomes participants of all fitness levels and is wheelchair accessible. A guided cultural visit can also be added after the workshop for a deeper experience.

Make space in your Rome itinerary for a creative pause and leave with new skills and a one-of-a-kind keepsake from your trip.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 48% in Rome means it ranks in the top 48% of tours in Rome by this score.
