Learn mosaic techniques with artist Nadia in Trastevere, then create a handmade piece to take home as a personal Rome keepsake.

About this tour

Create a keepsake by hand in the heart of Trastevere. At this 3-hour Trastevere Mosaic Workshop, meet Nadia, a mosaic artist who introduces you to the techniques behind this traditional craft in her studio near the Botanical Garden.

Choose a design, settle in at your workstation, and use the tools and materials provided to build your own mosaic. Nadia guides you through each step, making this a welcoming, hands-on way to explore a creative side of Rome. When your piece is complete, it is boxed so you can take it home; allow up to 6 hours for it to set.

The Trastevere Mosaic Workshop takes place at Aegea Mosaici on Via Corsini 8. With an expert artist alongside you throughout, you can focus on the process and leave with a personal memento of your time in the neighborhood. Book your workshop and make something uniquely yours.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.93 from 27 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.7. Top 18% in Rome means it ranks in the top 18% of tours in Rome by this score.
