Explore St. Peter’s Basilica with priority entry and an audio guide, and discover its celebrated art and history at your own pace.
About this tour
Step inside St. Peter’s Basilica and take in its remarkable art and architecture at your own pace. This Vatican experience pairs priority entrance with an audio guide, helping you explore one of the Catholic Church’s most significant sites with context along the way.
Spend about 60 minutes discovering the basilica’s history and sacred spaces. Look for Michelangelo’s Pietà and works by Bernini as you move through the vast interior, and hear stories about the site’s artistic and religious heritage. The audio guide offers an easy way to follow the experience independently, without a live guided tour.
Your ticket includes basilica access and the audio guide; pickup and drop-off are not included. Choose this St. Peter’s Basilica priority-entry experience for a flexible visit, and let the art and history of the Vatican unfold at your own pace.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.80 from 10 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.5.
