Sail San Diego Bay aboard a classic yacht, taking in the skyline, Coronado Bridge, and USS Midway on an afternoon or sunset trip.

About this tour

Trade crowded tour boats for a relaxed sail on San Diego Bay aboard Liberty, a classic 41-foot Friendship sloop that welcomes just six guests. With a USCG-licensed captain at the helm, this 2.5-hour outing offers an intimate way to see the city from the water.

Choose an afternoon sail for open skies and warm sunshine, or set out at sunset as the sky shifts and city lights begin to glow. Along the way, take in the San Diego skyline, Coronado Bridge, and USS Midway. There’s no scripted narration or rush; the focus is on the bay, the boat, and an easygoing time on the water. Beer, wine, soft drinks, bottled water, and snacks are provided, and a restroom is available on board.

Meet at Safe Harbor Sunroad Marina and enjoy a classic sailing experience with room to slow down. Book your San Diego classic yacht sailing trip for a fresh perspective on the waterfront.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 9 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in San Diego
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.6. Top 23% in San Diego means it ranks in the top 23% of tours in San Diego by this score.
