Explore the Sonoran Desert on a guided hike through landscapes shaped by rugged trails, open skies, and distinctive desert scenery. This two-hour Scottsdale Sonoran Desert guided hike pairs the outdoors with the insight of a professional, safety-certified guide.

Routes are chosen for their scenic beauty, accessibility, safety, and lower visitor volume. Many hikes take place in Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve, where a variety of trails can suit different hiking abilities. The experience is designed to welcome guests with modest fitness levels as well as more active hikers. Your guide-to-guest ratio is 1:8, and bottled water and snacks are provided.

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes. Children need to be accompanied by an adult, and participants should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. Solo travelers are charged the minimum two-person price, though you can ask about joining a pre-formed group when booking. Choose a Scottsdale Sonoran Desert guided hike for a refreshing way to experience the preserve and its desert trails.
