Fly over Douglas Lake and the French Broad River, with views toward Douglas Dam and the Great Smoky Mountains on clear days.
About this tour
See the Smokies from a fresh perspective on a Douglas Lake Scenic Helicopter Tour. In a 6–10-minute flight, you’ll rise above the French Broad River and take in the broad waters and winding shoreline of Douglas Lake, which spans more than 28,000 acres across three counties and has over 500 miles of shoreline.
Your route heads toward Douglas Dam and the edge of Mountain Cove Marina. On clear days, the Great Smoky Mountains appear in the distance, adding a dramatic backdrop to the lake and river views. A professional guide and pilot accompany the flight, making this a short, scenic introduction to helicopter sightseeing.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.89 from 205 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Sevierville
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.1. Top 25% in Sevierville means it ranks in the top 25% of tours in Sevierville by this score.
