Cruise Sitka’s waters aboard the 52-foot Alaskan Legacy, with a small group, onboard comforts, and chances to spot Alaska’s marine wildlife.

About this tour

Set out from Sitka for a four-hour wildlife-viewing cruise aboard the 52-foot Alaskan Legacy. With space for just six guests, this small-group trip offers a relaxed setting to scan Alaska’s waters for humpback whales, orcas, sea lions, otters, and puffins. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, but the vessel’s 360-degree views make it easier to watch the water and capture the moment.

Enjoy comfortable seating, a full dining area, and two restrooms as you cruise. Snacks, soda, and bottled water are provided, and private transportation is included. The intimate group size leaves more room to settle in and focus on the scenery, whether you’re hoping to photograph marine life or simply enjoy the coastal views. Meet at Wild Strawberry Lodge in Sitka, then spend four hours exploring the region’s vibrant marine environment from the water.

Choose this Sitka Wildlife Viewing Boat Tour for a comfortable, uncrowded way to experience Alaska’s wildlife. Bring your curiosity, keep your camera ready, and enjoy a memorable day on the water.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
