About this tour

Step into the Yukon’s sled dog world at a summer training camp run by master mushers Michelle Phillips and Ed Hopkins, who race in the Iditarod and Yukon Quest. This 270-minute experience gives you time to focus on the dogs and the work behind the sport.

Visit Tutshi Lake Kennel, take a training cart ride pulled by sled dogs, and hear an educational talk from the mushers. Puppy snuggles may also be possible at certain times of the season. The tour includes kennel entry and a sled dog ride, with snacks and bottled water available to purchase along the way.

Bring your passport, which is required to board the bus, and arrive 20 minutes before departure at 1st and Broadway streets. Meet the dogs, learn about their training, and experience the Yukon’s sled dog culture up close.
