Washington, DC Black Georgetown History Tour

Explore the stories that shaped Washington, DC’s Georgetown, a neighborhood whose history reaches far beyond its grand homes and polished streets. Once a busy tobacco port and a site of active slave trading, Georgetown was also home to generations of enslaved people, free Black residents, and their descendants.
