Young agents decode messages, learn spycraft, and explore Georgetown’s espionage stories on this 90-minute guided adventure.

About this tour

Turn a Georgetown stroll into a top-secret mission for young recruits. SpyKids Mission Training is a 90-minute guided adventure designed for children ages 12 and under, bringing the neighborhood’s espionage stories to life through hands-on activities.

Along the way, kids discover how spies communicate, decode messages, and create concealment devices. An invisible ink pen helps bring the spycraft to life, while stories about real spies reveal the clever methods used in the field, including the unexpected role bananas played in a government overthrow. The experience combines a walk through historic Georgetown with playful, educational challenges.

Meet at the picnic bench beside the Volta Park basketball courts, in front of the Volta Park parking lot. Bring your young agent for a lively Georgetown spy adventure and see if they can complete the mission without being caught by spy hunters.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Washington DC
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 46% in Washington DC means it ranks in the top 46% of tours in Washington DC by this score.
