About this tour

See the capital’s landmark sights from the road, on foot, and from the water on this six-hour Washington DC sightseeing tour. Starting at the U.S. Navy Memorial, ride a panoramic bus through the city and enjoy guided stops near celebrated monuments and memorials.

Walk around the U.S. Capitol, the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, and the World War II Memorial, with about 15–20 minutes at each stop for close-up outdoor views. The schedule does not allow time to go inside the monuments. From April 1 to September 30, the tour also includes a seasonal Potomac River cruise. A glass-top bus upgrade is available; convertible buses offer open-air views when weather permits and switch to glass tops during colder months.

An English-speaking guide accompanies you on and off the bus, bringing context to the sights along the way. Lunch, gratuities, and hotel transfers are not included, so plan your own meal and travel to the Navy Memorial meeting point. How this score is calculated

This tour scores 4.74 on Viator and 4.70 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Washington DC
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.8.
