About this tour

See Washington, DC’s landmarks from a fresh perspective on a 130-minute open-air ride. With room for up to 12 guests, this guided Washington DC Open-Air Monuments Tour pairs broad city views with time to explore several memorials on foot.

Ride in a 360-degree vehicle with unobstructed views and a breeze overhead. A protective sunroof offers shade, while clear roll-down covers provide shelter in rain. Along the way, pass the White House, Capitol Hill, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and U.S. Capitol. The tour also stops at the WWII, Vietnam Veterans, FDR, and MLK Memorials, where you can step off to look around and take photos. A professional guide shares history as the city’s monuments shift from daylight to evening lights.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.71 from 396 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Washington DC
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.4.
