About this tour

See the landmarks of the nation’s capital from an open-air cruiser on this Washington DC Monuments Tour, designed to cover more ground with less walking. A professional guide shares historical stories and local insights as you travel through the National Mall, with views of the White House, U.S. Capitol, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and other celebrated sights.

The extended stop near the Lincoln Memorial gives you time to experience the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Korean War Veterans Memorial. Along the way, enjoy convenient photo opportunities and the fresh-air perspective of an open-air vehicle. Groups may include up to 14 travelers, creating a more intimate way to take in the city’s history and monuments.

Meet your guide in front of Arlo Hotel at least 10 minutes before departure. Vehicle type may change because of weather or safety conditions, and access to some memorials can be limited during special events or for security requirements. Choose this Washington DC Monuments Tour for an engaging introduction to the capital’s most recognizable sights.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.60 from 50 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Washington DC
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.2.
