Williamsburg College of William & Mary Campus Tour 1 hr

Walk through centuries of American history on a private tour of the College of William & Mary, founded in 1693 and the nation’s second-oldest college. Meet your certified guide in Merchant’s Square, then explore a campus shaped by presidents, statesmen, and generations of students. Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, and John Tyler studied here, and George Washington received his surveyor’s commission from the College.

When open, the historic Sir Christopher Wren Building reveals its Colonial classroom, Chapel, and Great Hall. The route also takes in the Brafferton, a rare surviving colonial Indian school, the Hearth Memorial to the Enslaved, Sunken Garden, Tyler Garden, and Echo Wall. Crim Dell Bridge may be included as time allows. Saturday morning visits may coincide with the complimentary 10:00 a.m. Wren Chapel organ recital.
