Explore Anchorage’s hidden corners on a flexible mystery tour, with scenic drives, unexpected trails, and a guide who follows the group’s interests.

About this tour

Trade the familiar sightseeing route for a little mystery on this Anchorage Mystery Sightseeing Tour. Your guide chooses the outing with the group in mind, leading you toward lesser-known corners of the Anchorage area and sharing favorite places along the way.

The route may bring you along scenic drives to glacier views or out on unexpected trails to cascading waterfalls. Because the destination is not set in advance, each trip offers a chance to see somewhere new. The experience is designed to adapt to participants’ interests rather than follow a rehearsed speech, and there is no group minimum, making it an option for solo travelers. Admission to a state park and an air-conditioned vehicle are included.

Meet your guide in front of the Dena'ina Center, at the corner of 7th Avenue and F Street, across from Darkhorse Coffee. There is no restroom at the meeting spot. Book the Anchorage Mystery Sightseeing Tour for a flexible way to discover the wild side of the city.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.89 from 76 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Anchorage
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.9. Top 23% in Anchorage means it ranks in the top 23% of tours in Anchorage by this score.
