Explore Annapolis after dark with a period-attired guide, hearing ghost stories drawn from local diaries, newspapers, and historic sites.

About this tour

As dusk settles over Annapolis, follow a period-attired guide into the city’s shadowy lanes and centuries-old stories. This Annapolis Historic Ghost Tour brings local legends to life with accounts drawn from real diaries and newspaper articles, revealing what unsettled residents in the early 18th century.

Walk through the historic district, hear the tale of a jilted bride said to haunt a downtown landmark, and discover why colonial residents picnicked in cemeteries. The route also includes a stop inside historic Hogshead, where stories evoke life in Annapolis during the Revolutionary War, plus a visit to one of the city’s best-known cemeteries. Historically trained guides share the past with atmosphere and detail, not cheap scares.

Join the Annapolis Historic Ghost Tour for a spirited evening among the streets, sites, and stories that make this old town linger in the imagination.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. GetYourGuide rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all GetYourGuide ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Annapolis

Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 37% in Annapolis means it ranks in the top 37% of tours in Annapolis by this score.
