Paint live orchids with artist Star Bolton in an outdoor gazebo, and take home your own acrylic keepsake from this Hawaii painting party.

About this tour

Paint the Orchid Isle in an outdoor gazebo with local professional artist Star Bolton. This 3-hour Hawaii Painting Party centers on live orchid flowers, inspired by the Big Island’s nickname and lush island scenery.

Star guides you step by step through the elements of art as you work with acrylic paint on a wood canvas board. All art supplies are provided, and each participant finishes a painting to take home as a keepsake. Music and refreshments add to the relaxed party atmosphere; coffee and tea are not included.

The activity is suitable for all physical fitness levels, but children under 10 and unaccompanied minors cannot attend. To reach the studio, drive to the ninth house at the listed address and take the three large speed bumps slowly. Park along the road where studio parking signs point you to the outdoor painting gazebo.

Book this Hawaii Painting Party for a creative way to spend time on the Orchid Isle and leave with a handmade reminder of your visit.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 4 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Big Island of Hawaii
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.3. Top 47% in Big Island of Hawaii means it ranks in the top 47% of tours in Big Island of Hawaii by this score.
