Hear Charlotte ghost legends and true crime tales on a 90-minute bus tour with eerie stops, historic neighborhoods, and cemetery stories.

About this tour

After dark, Charlotte’s historic streets take on a different character. On this Charlotte Haunted and True Crime Bus Tour, hear ghost legends and true crime stories tied to the Queen City as you travel through neighborhoods and past sites known for eerie tales.

The 90-minute guided ride covers more ground than a walking tour, with stories from the Fourth Ward and other areas, including old hotels, theaters, and graveyards. At select stops, step off the air-conditioned bus for a closer look. One highlight is a sprawling 77-acre cemetery dating to the 1800s, where your guide shares stories of the past and reports of restless spirits. The tour combines local history, chilling accounts, and convenient transportation around the city.

Meet at the front of the Market at 7th Street, where discounted parking is available. Guests can also use ticket-linked offers at Rí Rá Irish Pub and Restaurant and It's Poppin! Gourmet Kettle Korn. With live English commentary and a mix of ghost lore and crime history, this Charlotte Haunted and True Crime Bus Tour offers a memorable way to see the city after dark. Reserve your place and discover Charlotte’s more mysterious side.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 5.00 on Viator (GetYourGuide shows no usable rating). Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Charlotte
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 42% in Charlotte means it ranks in the top 42% of tours in Charlotte by this score.
