See Chattanooga by private horse-drawn carriage with a local driver, a friendly dog companion, and stories from the city’s oldest carriage company.
About this tour
Discover Chattanooga from the seat of a horse-drawn carriage with a local driver at the reins. The city’s oldest carriage company has operated for more than 30 years, offering private rides led by professional, licensed, and fully insured drivers. Each driver brings their own dog along for the journey, adding a friendly companion to your outing.
Tours operate from two locations: the Tennessee Aquarium and Hotel Chalet at the Choo-Choo. On Fridays and Saturdays, pickup is at the front door of Hotel Chalet. Ask your driver about Chattanooga as you travel; they can share local knowledge and answer questions along the way. Private carriage services are also available for weddings, special events, and funerals. Dinner is not included.
Choose a Chattanooga Horse & Carriage Tour for an easygoing way to experience the city with a local guide. Book your private ride or ask about a special reservation.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.92 from 13 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Chattanooga
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.5. Top 36% in Chattanooga means it ranks in the top 36% of tours in Chattanooga by this score.
