Cruise Chicago’s riverfront aboard a floating Tiki Bar, admire downtown architecture, and watch fireworks light up the night sky.

About this tour

See Chicago’s fireworks from the deck of Island Time, a floating Tiki Bar cruising the scenic Chicago River. This 90-minute outing pairs the city’s glowing skyline with a lively island atmosphere.

As you cruise, take in downtown architecture from the water and watch the riverfront shift into evening. The friendly crew can answer questions and share fun facts about the historic and modern buildings along the route. A restroom is available on board, and the air-conditioned vehicle adds comfort during your time on the water. The cruise builds to its main event: fireworks lighting up the night sky above Chicago.

For a fresh perspective on the city and a festive evening on the river, climb aboard the Chicago River fireworks cruise and enjoy the show from Island Time.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.10 from 40 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Chicago
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.5.
