Paddle near Blue Spring State Park, learn from a Florida Master Naturalist, and watch manatees from a safe distance.

About this tour

Paddle into the quiet waters near Blue Spring State Park, a winter refuge for one of Florida’s largest manatee populations. On this Orlando manatee kayak tour, you can watch these gentle animals from your kayak while keeping a safe distance.

A Florida Master Naturalist guides the outing and introduces the area’s wildlife and plant life. The 120-minute experience includes a kayak, paddle, life vest, bottled water, and complimentary group photos. Manatees gather in the spring during winter, though sightings are not guaranteed. There is no minimum age, but every participant must know how to swim and be comfortable sitting in a kayak for multiple hours. Share each guest’s height and weight when booking to help arrange a suitable kayak.

Wear clothes that can get wet and possibly dirty, and bring a swimsuit, towel, and waterproof camera. There is no restroom at the meeting point, so plan ahead. Choose this Orlando manatee kayak tour for a close look at Florida’s wild waterways from the water.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.90 from 395 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Daytona Beach
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.2. Top 8% in Daytona Beach means it ranks in the top 8% of tours in Daytona Beach by this score.
