Explore trails, wildflower gardens, historic buildings, and foothill scenery at this 700-acre Denver-area farm and nature refuge.
Trade city streets for open fields and foothill views at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms. This 700-acre native plant refuge and working farm offers a peaceful way to experience Colorado’s natural beauty just a short drive from Denver.
Follow 2.5 miles of scenic nature trails, stroll through vibrant wildflower gardens, and see historic buildings dating to the 1800s. Families can enjoy the children’s play area, while seasonal visitors can explore the butterfly house from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Set along Deer Creek, the farm also offers excellent birdwatching, so bring binoculars if you have them. Limited complimentary parking is available in the public parking complex, and snacks and beverages can be purchased on site.
Make time to roam, take in the foothills, and discover a quieter side of the Denver area at Chatfield Farms.
