Explore Rocky Mountain National Park by Green Jeep, with a local guide, scenic stops, and alpine views on this three-hour safari from Estes Park.

About this tour

Set out from historic Estes Park and watch Rocky Mountain National Park unfold from the comfort of an iconic Green Jeep. On this three-hour Rocky Mountain National Park safari, an experienced local guide brings the landscape to life with stories and insights along the way.

The route winds through lush meadows, shimmering rivers, aspen groves, and alpine lakes, with multiple stops as you climb toward the Alpine Visitor Center and descend again. In summer and fall, the journey may reach the alpine tundra above 12,000 feet. You may travel the historic Old Fall River Road, accessible after July 4, and the heights of Trail Ridge Road when weather permits. If conditions close a route or limit access, your guide will explore other striking areas of the park instead.

Each Jeep seats up to 10 guests, keeping the outing personal; larger groups travel in multiple vehicles. Meet at the downtown Estes Park office 20 minutes before departure. How this score is calculated

This tour scores 4.91 on Viator and 4.87 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Estes Park
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.9. Top 15% in Estes Park means it ranks in the top 15% of tours in Estes Park by this score.
