About this tour

Take in Kauai’s dramatic scenery with the wind in your hair on a doors-off MD500 helicopter flight. This 60–65-minute adventure pairs open-air views with commentary from a knowledgeable pilot-guide.

The aircraft carries up to four passengers, creating a small-group experience. Wrist straps are available to borrow for mobile phones, and transportation to and from the heliport is included.

Guests must be at least 10 years old, and weight requirements apply. For a safe, balanced flight, some passengers must purchase an adjacent Comfort Seat. How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.85 from 434 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Kauai
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.6. Top 36% in Kauai means it ranks in the top 36% of tours in Kauai by this score.
