Captain a Zodiac through George Inlet Fjords, then unwind with a snack and a flight of 49th state craft beers or sodas.
About this tour
Take the helm of a four- or six-passenger Zodiac and skim across the waters of George Inlet Fjords on this Ketchikan Zodiac Boat Tour. The 210-minute adventure begins with a van ride through historic downtown, passing totem poles, Saxman Native Village, and the Tongass Narrows coastline on the way to Beaver Falls Salmon Cannery.
From the cannery, walk a rainforest trail to the boats, then listen to a safety briefing and gear up in rainwear, rubber boots, and a life jacket. Follow your guide into the fjords, where the Zodiac’s speed and agility bring you close to the scenery and wildlife. Guests take turns driving, with time to enjoy the views from the water during the 90-minute cruise. Back at the cannery, relax with a snack and a flight of 49th state craft beers or sodas.
See Ketchikan from downtown streets, forest paths, and open water on one lively outing. Book your Ketchikan Zodiac Boat Tour for a hands-on way to explore the fjords.

How this score is calculated
This tour scores 4.93 on Viator and 4.80 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.
How the score works and rating distribution in Ketchikan
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.7. Top 11% in Ketchikan means it ranks in the top 11% of tours in Ketchikan by this score.
