Take the controls of real CAT heavy equipment in Las Vegas, tackling hands-on challenges across a five-acre outdoor playground.

About this tour

Trade the Las Vegas Strip for a five-acre playground where you can climb into the cab and operate real heavy equipment. This Las Vegas Heavy Equipment Playground experience puts you in control of a Caterpillar machine, with an instructor nearby to guide each move.

After a safety orientation and warm-up, take on three hands-on exercises. Use an excavator to dig deep trenches, build huge mounds, stack 2,000-pound tires, or shoot hoops with a bucket. Depending on your chosen machine, you may also push giant tires or tackle a teeter-totter challenge on a mound. Options include a climate-controlled track-type bulldozer, excavator, backhoe loader, skid steer, and mini excavator.

With practical instruction and plenty of room to maneuver, this Las Vegas Heavy Equipment Playground offers a memorable way to get outdoors and try something far from the usual city attractions. Choose your machine and get ready to dig in.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. GetYourGuide rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all GetYourGuide ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Las Vegas
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 41% in Las Vegas means it ranks in the top 41% of tours in Las Vegas by this score.
