Sail into sunset aboard the 125-foot Liberty Clipper, with harbor views, local wildlife and the chance to help raise the sails.
About this tour
Watch the sky turn gold as the 125-foot Liberty Clipper sails through the harbor on a two-hour sunset outing. Aboard this traditional tall ship, you can settle onto the spacious deck, feel the breeze and look out for local wildlife along the way.
The captain and crew guide the sail, and guests can join in by helping raise the sails or taking a turn at the helm. Bring snacks or food to enjoy onboard; any drinks consumed during the trip must be purchased from the onboard bar. The vessel is USCG-certified, and the experience is suitable for all physical fitness levels.
Meet the green-and-white Liberty Clipper at the end of the pier by the park. If the boat is not at the dock when you arrive, it is out sailing. Set aside two hours for this sunset sail and enjoy a hands-on view of the harbor from a classic tall ship.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 18 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Long Island
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.0. Top 6% in Long Island means it ranks in the top 6% of tours in Long Island by this score.
