Lahaina Private Surf Lesson 2 hr

Build confidence on the water during a Lahaina private surf lesson designed to give you a full two hours to learn, laugh, and ride. Your session begins on land with instruction in surf safety and technique, so you can get comfortable with the basics before heading into the ocean.

Once in the water, put those skills to work as you practice catching waves with an instructor nearby. A low student-to-instructor ratio of 3:1 allows for personalized coaching throughout the lesson. Rashguards, water shoes, and surfboards are provided; bring your own sunscreen, water, and towel.

Lessons meet at The Guardrails on Honoapiʻilani Highway, just south of mile marker 19 in West Maui. Park on the mountainside, cross the road safely, and head down to the beach to meet your instructors. Children ages 5–9 require a private lesson, and the experience is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or those who are pregnant.
