About this tour
Discover the remarkable world of honeybees at the Maui Honey Bee Sanctuary, set on a special stretch of upcountry Maui with panoramic ocean views. This 90-minute Maui Honey Bee Adventure pairs fascinating bee facts with a close-up look at life inside a hive.
A beekeeper and honey enthusiast guides you through the honeybees’ vital role in pollinating the food we eat and explains more about the honey they produce. Then put on the provided beesuit and gloves and explore near the hives, including a view inside a beehive. The sanctuary is about 2 miles from Ulupalakua, making this a memorable way to experience Maui’s upcountry landscape while learning about its buzzing residents.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.79 from 14 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Maui
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.0.
