Rappel waterfalls and rainforest cliffs on Maui with expert guides, professional gear, and a scenic setting along the Road to Hana.
About this tour
Trade the usual Road to Hana stops for a hands-on rainforest adventure. On this 3-hour Maui waterfall rappelling tour, expert guides introduce you to the ropes and equipment before leading you into a private valley of cliffs and cascading water, in a landscape featured in Jurassic Park.
With professional gear, including shoes, descend waterfalls under close guide supervision and take in the vivid greenery from a fresh perspective. Seasonal snacks are provided. Rain is part of the rainforest experience, but conditions can change quickly: if flooding makes a waterfall rappel unsafe, the guides switch to jungle cliff descents away from the watercourse. The tour runs in all weather, with safety guiding the route.
Maui waterfall rappelling is suited to active travelers who can hike and walk unassisted and meet the tour’s age, weight, and waist requirements. Meet at the Garden of Eden Arboretum at least 15 minutes before your start time; hotel transportation is not provided. Book your Maui waterfall rappelling adventure for a memorable day among the island’s rainforest cliffs.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.88 from 477 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Maui
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.9. Top 30% in Maui means it ranks in the top 30% of tours in Maui by this score.
