Explore Maui’s Road to Hana in an open-air Slingshot, following pre-loaded navigation and stopping wherever the scenery calls.

About this tour

Take the Road to Hana at your own pace in an open-air Polaris Slingshot, with tropical breezes and wide-open views along Maui’s celebrated coastal route. This 24-hour rental gives you room to shape the day around the places that catch your eye.

Pick up your vehicle in Kihei, then follow the pre-loaded navigation tour to points of interest along the way. Pause for waterfalls, secluded beaches, lush overlooks, or local stands, and spend as much time as you like at each stop. Helmets are provided, and the Slingshot’s ample storage makes it easy to bring water, snacks, and a towel for a swim. The listed stop times are averages, so you can keep the journey flexible.

A valid driver’s license is required, and drivers must be at least 21 for insurance. A refundable security deposit is due at pickup. Choose this Maui Road to Hana Slingshot Adventure for an independent way to explore the island’s scenery and make the route your own.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 5.00 on Viator and 5.00 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Maui
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.7. Top 37% in Maui means it ranks in the top 37% of tours in Maui by this score.
