About this tour

Set out on a Maui afternoon snorkel tour that trades an early start for a relaxed trip to the island’s underwater world. Aboard the Four Winds, head for Coral Gardens or, if conditions permit, Molokini Crater, where clear water and vibrant marine life make every swim an invitation to explore.

The 210-minute outing includes snorkeling equipment, flotation gear, helpful instruction and lunch. Coral Gardens is known for its underwater sights, and you may spot sea turtles as you snorkel. From December through April, the trip also includes whale watching. Gluten-free and vegetarian meal options are available, and soda is provided. Alcohol is served after snorkeling to guests age 21 and older with ID; beer, wine and hard seltzers are mentioned in the tour details.

Maui afternoon snorkel tour destinations depend on the weather, with safety guiding the choice. Meet at Slip #80 on the ocean side of the jetty, near the two-story brown building. How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.72 from 36 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Maui
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.8.
