Learn ukulele basics with Maui musicians, then explore galleries sharing stories of migration to Hawaiʻi through dance, costumes, and instruments.

About this tour

Discover the joy of making music in a relaxed Maui ukulele lesson led by local professional musicians with decades of playing experience. This beginner-friendly class offers a welcoming introduction to the instrument, whether you use a provided ukulele or bring your own.

The lesson takes place at Wonderful World of Aloha inside Queen Kaʻahumanu Center. After class, explore its Migrations galleries, where dance costumes, implements, and instruments tell stories of migration to Hawaiʻi. The center describes itself as Maui’s only multicultural dance and arts center, offering a thoughtful way to connect with Hawaiʻi’s heritage. It’s also a lovely activity to share as a couple.

Join a Maui ukulele lesson for an easygoing mix of music, culture, and hands-on learning. Find the center on the shopping center’s second floor, to the left of the Fun Factory arcade.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 4.86 on Viator and 5.00 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Maui
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.5. Top 45% in Maui means it ranks in the top 45% of tours in Maui by this score.
