Explore Maui’s remote reef by sea scooter, snorkel with turtles and colorful marine life, and take home free photos and videos.

About this tour

Explore Maui’s reef on a sea scooter and look for turtles, butterfly fish, octopus, rays, and eels. This 90-minute snorkeling adventure visits a remote area away from the crowds, where each trip brings a different glimpse of marine life.

Ride a Yamaha sea scooter to cover more of the reef, then snorkel with the provided gear, including a mask, fins, life jacket, and upper wetsuit top. Prescription masks are available if needed, and free photos and videos capture moments from your time in the water. An English-speaking guide leads the experience.

Maui sea scooter snorkeling offers a relaxed way to explore the underwater scenery and enjoy a more private outing. Meet near the parking lot, where you’ll find outdoor showers and restrooms; look for a brown Nissan van nearby. Book your Maui sea scooter snorkeling tour and set out in search of the reef’s remarkable residents.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.90 from 41 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Maui
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.7. Top 36% in Maui means it ranks in the top 36% of tours in Maui by this score.
