Watch for humpback whales from a scenic Maui cliffside and capture your group in drone photos and videos when conditions allow.

About this tour

Watch Maui’s coastline for the telltale splash of a humpback whale, then take home a fresh perspective on your day. This guided whale-watching experience takes place from a scenic cliffside viewpoint, not a boat, where you can look for breaches, tail slaps, and other whale behavior. A local guide leads the outing, while drone photos and videos capture your group against the coastal scenery when conditions allow. Maui Whale Watching and Drone Photoshoot offers a relaxed way to enjoy the search from shore and preserve the moment from above. The whales are wild, so sightings and drone footage of them cannot be guaranteed. Contact the guide to confirm the meeting location; possible locations include Ma'alaea Park and Ride or nearby. Choose Maui Whale Watching and Drone Photoshoot for a guided coastal outing and group keepsakes from the experience.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
