Create deep-blue cyanotype prints from photos on your phone in a 30-minute Mendocino studio experience, and take home your work.
About this tour
Make a keepsake in the deep blue of the Mendocino Coast with a hands-on cyanotype printmaking experience. In about 30 minutes, turn photos from your phone into prints using a photographic process that dates to the 1840s.
At the studio, explore mermaid and sea creature themes as you create your own cyanotype prints. The rich blue tones echo the nearby sea, while the process offers a calm, creative way to capture the character of the coast. You’ll leave with your finished prints and printed negatives, made by you during the experience.
This Mendocino cyanotype printmaking experience is wheelchair accessible and suitable for all fitness levels. Find the studio entrance at the back of the building beside the parking lot, following the signs to the door. Book this short creative stop and take home a personal memento of your visit to the Mendocino Coast.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Mendocino
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2.
