About this tour

Join the New Orleans Drunken Turkey Hunt for a lively walk through the French Quarter, where local history and a playful hidden-turkey challenge share the spotlight. A local guide leads the group past storied landmarks and introduces tales of voodoo, paranormal lore, and the city’s darker past.

Along the way, hear stories connected to places such as the LaLaurie Mansion and the Sultan’s Palace. The guide makes stops at bars, where guests can purchase drinks, and the first participant to spot the turkey hidden along the route wins a prize. The tour moves at a moderate walking pace and typically lasts about one to two hours, though waits at busy bars can make it longer.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
