About this tour

Step into Schmigadoon, a magical town where the streets echo with songs and a bridge out leads nowhere. This Broadway musical follows New York doctors Josh and Melissa on a couples’ backpacking retreat that takes an unexpected turn: the only way to escape may be to find true love.

Schmigadoon! is a modern musical comedy from Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels, based on the award-winning Universal Television and Apple Original series. Its book and Emmy Award-winning score come from Cinco Paul, known for Despicable Me and The Secret Life of Pets. The show celebrates Broadway’s Golden Age with a playful story and a contemporary comic touch, and won 2026 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.40 from 5 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.8.
