About this tour
Step into the world of Prince at Broadway’s Majestic Theatre with Purple Rain, a live musical inspired by the Grammy-winning album and Oscar-winning film. Set in Minneapolis in 1984, the story follows The Kid, a magnetic young performer whose rise to stardom is threatened by the past he cannot outrun.
Hear more than 20 of Prince’s celebrated songs, including “When Doves Cry,” “I Would Die 4 U,” “Take Me with U,” and “The Beautiful Ones,” woven into a story of ambition, music, and finding the courage to step into the spotlight. The performance runs 150 minutes, and your best available seats are assigned by the theater when you book. Mobile ticketing makes it easy to keep your admission details close at hand.

How this score is calculated
This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.
How the score works
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
