Explore 7–8 experimental exhibitions in Tribeca on a two-hour gallery walk led by a professional art critic.

About this tour

Discover Tribeca’s lively contemporary art scene on a two-hour walking tour led by a professional art critic. In this fast-growing Manhattan gallery district, each visit offers a close look at exhibitions that favor experimental ideas and fresh perspectives.

Explore 7–8 galleries with a guide who brings an informed eye to the art and its setting. The tour meets at a different gallery as new exhibitions open, so the route reflects the neighborhood’s changing program. Your guide will confirm the exact meeting location about one week ahead; check your Viator messages for the details. Tours run rain or shine, and the experience involves standing and walking for two hours, often without seating and with many staircases.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 6 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.4. Top 29% in New York City means it ranks in the top 29% of tours in New York City by this score.
