Hear gospel and spirituals performed by professional choir singers during a 60-minute musical gathering in a historic Harlem church.
About this tour
On Wednesday, Harlem fills with the uplifting sound of gospel. This 60-minute Harlem Gospel Music Concert takes place in a neighborhood Black historic church, where professional church choir singers and a music ensemble perform gospel and spirituals.
Rather than a church service, the concert offers an hour of inspirational music and shared fellowship. Visit a local church, listen to the singers, and join the musical gathering alongside local congregants. The performance is suitable for all physical fitness levels, and public transportation options are available nearby. Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller.
A church offering is not included; a $5 donation per person is appreciated as part of the worship experience. Make Wednesday memorable with the voices and spirit of Harlem Gospel Music Concert.

This tour scores 4.43 on Viator and 4.77 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.
How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.9. Top 5% in New York City means it ranks in the top 5% of tours in New York City by this score.
