See Paulina’s pageant rivalry turn personal in School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play, an 80-minute Broadway comedy in New York.

About this tour

At Aburi Girls Boarding School, becoming Miss Ghana 1986 promises fame, fortune, and prosperity—or so Paulina, the queen bee, believes. When a pageant recruiter arrives, Paulina and her crew prepare to compete, but a new transfer student from America turns the rivalry into something far more personal.

This bright, biting comedy brings School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play to Broadway, reuniting Tony Award-nominated playwright Jocelyn Bioh and director Whitney White, the team behind Jaja’s African Hair Braiding. The 80-minute performance offers a sharp look at ambition, friendship, and competition, with best available seats assigned by the theater at purchase. Mobile tickets are provided, and all taxes, fees, and handling charges are included.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 1.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.0.
